Gordon Wilson

Born in 1968 and growing up in Glasgow, Gordon studied at Glasgow School of Art and is now a highly successful artist living with his family in Milngavie, where his studio is also situated.
Highly regarded with sell out shows and exhibiting with many prestigious galleries throughout UK, Ireland and USA, Gordon paints from the heart ; his expressive oil paintings reflect the ever changing moods of both the countryside and the artist himself! Whilst expert at landscapes, Gordon is also hugely successful with his wonderful amusing paintings of old ladies ("biddies"), Belted Galloways and characterful Clyde Puffers. Unsurprisingly, Gordon's work is held in many private and corporate collections around the world, and he has also participated in group exhibitions including The Royal Glasgow Institute, and the Paisley Arts Institute.

Gallerist comment - 'One of Scotland's most exciting contemporary artists, I' m thrilled to have persuaded Gordon to show in Ballater. From quirky portraiture to emotive land and seascapes, I love the way in which Gordon captures the beauty often very cleverly with the humour of Scotland'.
