Stanley Bird

Growing up in the West of Scotland, Stanley Bird had shown an aptitude for art from and early age but, after school, decided to study, then graduate in Law - having a very successful career for over 25 years.  It was in 2010, whilst attending evening classes at Glasgow School of Art, that Stanley decided to "bite the bullet" and become a full-time artist.  He has never looked back!   Stanley works with a bold palette to create exciting images of the natural world; joyful images, expertly executed, which seize the imagination and which everyone can relate to.  More recently, and very successfully, Stanley has been working on wonderfully colourful paintings of exotic and domestic birds, dogs and other "critters" against beautiful "wallpaper" backgrounds.  Selling at galleries throughout Scotland and England, Stanley has also exhibited and sold work at the Royal Gallery Institute of Fine Arts (RGI), Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW), and Paisley Art Institute (PAI).

Gallerist comment - 'I visited Stanley at his lovely family home in Edinburgh where he has a super bright studio with bay window, stunning views and wonderful light.  An animal lover, Stanley has a fantastic ability to pull together quirky but sophisticated paintings, which are so easy to find a place for in any home'.
