Ewan McClure

Born in 1975 and graduating with a BA Honours degree from Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen, Ewan McClure is an established and highly regarded artist who has exhibited  throughout the country and in many top galleries including the prestigious Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh. Ewan's profile accelerated hugely following his appearances as a finalist on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2013, where he painted Michael Kerr, Sophie Dahl and AP McCoy.  Ewan's rapidly executed, realist portraiture has been in steady and growing demand both in the UK and abroad.  Selected as a finalist in the BP Portrait Award 2013, and in 2015 he was shortlisted for the prestigious Conversations Prize for a multi-figure painting at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.

Gallerist comment - ' As an avid watcher of the Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year I was enthralled by Ewan's incredible ability in portraiture and I wasn't surprised that his career has really taken off since then and his work is now  in big demand and held by both private and corporate collectors'.
