We’re delighted to present Venice to Velázquez, a major new solo exhibition by Jack Morrocco, featuring over 40 new oil paintings inspired by Italy, Spain, and his most iconic subjects.

The exhibition opens at our Viewing Room, 25 Spa Street,  Aberdeen on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June, before continuing in The Ballater Gallery, 46 Bridge Street, Ballater from Thursday 12th to Sunday 29th June.

From luminous harbours and Venetian canals to expressive still lifes and café scenes, this richly varied collection marks a significant new chapter in Jack Morrocco’s hugely successful career. He revisits subjects not painted for many years such as the Gondoliers and adds in vibrant new colours to his iconic still life’s whilst bringing in the individualism of Velázquez and the history of many of Europe’s most sought-after destinations.
